Student Loans Company – Team Development

PB Events Ltd won the contract to deliver a team development programme to the 1400 employees in the Student Loans Company. This was no mean feat as 63 companies had registered for this contract. The final shortlist of 3 companies were asked to present their proposals and the PB Events team’s professionalism coupled with their fresh ideas approach persuaded the selection panel that they were the right team for the job.

Their remit included not only putting the staff through a team development course 60 people at a time but also reporting back to the directors on the current working environment. Delegates were asked to feed back through interactive discussions and feedback forms. All comments and ideas were noted down by PB Events staff. Finally after 6 months a report was written and presented to the directors with findings and suggestions for a way forward. This will be used as a comparison for the next 6 months report.

The morning session was lead by PB Events Director Brian Whittle. Brian has a great deal of experience in this field and many delicate issues were raised and dealt with in a positive manner. Delegates were comfortable that all issues they discussed were handled in an appropriate manner.

The afternoon session was an interactive practical session in the form of a team game that certainly allowed the team development techniques to be highlighted in a fun environment.
